Alright everyone, here it is. A first test of my HD PVR with the Playstation 3. I got the PVR last Saturday (which was 8/20/11) Recorded two things so far with it: this video, and a video of me playing GTA:IV which I'm thinking of putting up but at the same time, thinking of not putting up. Anyways, the only problem I've been having with the PVR WAS trying to get the video file loaded onto Sony Vegas. Here's the problem: You can record in M2TS, TS, and MP4 format on Total Media Extreme, which is the software that is included with the HD PVR. I recorded the videos in M2TS format; also known as: AVCHD. AVCHD is one complex video file that is used on SONY and PANASONIC camcorders. I tried editing the file on Sony Vegas, turns out your Sony Vegas will crash if you try to edit the video. It took me 3 days to figure out how to convert the AVCHD file into anything I wanted to convert it to, and it turned out to be that you NEED to use Total Media Extreme's Arcsoft Media Converter to convert the file to another video format file that can be able to be edited on Sony Vegas or which ever program you have to edit your videos. On my upcoming tutorials I will talk more about that. For now, this is my first test video, and keep and mind that all this is RAW FOOTAGE, only thing that's edited on this video is the cropping of the black lines, but I will talk about this on my upcoming tutorials.
