Lindsay Lohan was the guest host on SNL this week in a show which tackled Mitt Romney, FoxNews, Shepherd Smith and the scared straight program. Generally speaking, it might have been a decent show if only Ms. Lohan hadn't phoned in her performance.

Tonight SNL opened with a sketch which went after Mitt Romney for being stiff as a board, unprepared to handle the media spotlight, and terrible at performing the most basic job requirements of anyone entering into the political arena. Oddly enough, they choose to air that sketch on the same night that they trotted out bad girl actress Lyndsey Lohan to serve as guest host on the show. And I say Oddly because like Mitt Romney, Lohan was stiff as a board, unprepared to handle the media spotlight and so terrible at performing the most basic job requirement of her craft -- you know, the whole memorizing your lines thing -- that she was forced to repeatedly and awkwardly read from cue cards in pretty much every scene she appeared in that night.
So SNL, I guess what I'm saying here is that you totally gave up the high ground this week, you cheapened the show by going for really BAD stunt casting -- although you're probably patting yourselves on the back for getting Lohan through the show with no major mishaps. Unfortunately, you also got her through the show without her displaying any signs of talent.
And you guys are better than that.
