Hoop Crash

This was taken on the Friday before the ship date this year, and we had just finished the functional parts of the robot (i.e., everything but the flag holder and final sponsor decals) and were working on tuning the driving code. Because there are no other large, carpeted areas in our school, the administration let us use the media center to test drive our robot this year. Although we moved everything out of the way first, I still crashed into a couch while attempting to capture the ball with our hoop. Surprisingly, there was no damage done to either the hoop or the couch. Don't underestimate the strength of a 36" diameter ring of electrical conduit!
