In 1997, a Halifax Bomber, LW682, was recovered in Belgium by Halifax 57 Rescue Canada and BAHA. The severely damage aircraft was recovered from a bog and only a few items from the plane remained intact. This Standard video version tells the story of how the aircraft was then melted down into 1600 pounds of ingots and stored for 15 years at the Bomber Command Museum of Canada in Nanton, Alberta. On May 14, 2012, we recorded this footage about the magnificent Bomber Command Memorial which is presently being built in Green Park, London. This footage will be part of a special documenatary about the project. A Dunrobincastle.com Internet Video
