More at http://umc.org/videos. Diane Styer's son was in the Army and died in Afghanistan. "The night we found out Brandon was killed on October 15, 2009, the minister from this church, even though we weren't members at the time, he called me. So we had Brandon's funeral here...they did so much for us and just showed us Christ's love through their actions." The Styers then joined First United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The congregation donates to veterans' programs like the nearby veterans hospital. On November 11th the church hosted a special tribute to military families, and displayed personal photos and mementos of veterans from World War II to the present. "This event means everything to me. As a parent of a soldier going overseas was thinking -- you can't do enough; you can't thank them enough," says church member, Julie Grove.
