99% of the US and European public can’t see a natural night sky, free of light pollution. The Dark Sky program, managed by the Missouri chapter of the International Dark Sky Association, supports libraries interested in becoming centers of dark sky-related citizen science research.

No matter where you are in the world, study the night sky with projects on the Dark Skies page (DarkSky.SciStarter.org). The Missouri team recently presented a global webinar about this, explaining not only how libraries in Missouri can get involved with this program, but also how anyone can do these projects.
