On December 4th and 5th, 2014 - The USC Center on Philanthropy and Public Policy and the USC Sol Price Center for Social Innovation - held a joint conference entitled Prioritizing Place: A National Forum on Place-Based Initiatives.
This conference was the culmination of a year-long inquiry into the state of philanthropic initiatives and public sector efforts to address geographically-concentrated poverty.

- Andrew Plepler, Global Corporate Social Responsibility and Consumer Policy Executive at Bank of America, will explore the expanding role of the market in place-based initiatives and the new challenges and opportunities it presents.
