A five-week summer session that includes transportation, breakfast, and lunch, and offers remedial courses in math and English as well as enrichment courses in science, social studies, physical education, and the arts.

"Summer PACK: Positive Adventures Creating Knowledge" has developed partnerships among the Tomah School District, Tomah City Park and Recreation Department, Boys and Girls Club, and the Tomah Public Library.

The effort won a Standing Up for Rural Wisconsin Schools, Libraries, and Communities Award in 2011 from State Superintendent Tony Evers.

Michelle Clark of Tomah Middle School Point gave these off-the-cuff, informal remarks about the project on March 7, 2011.
