I was amazed that my gf volunteered to tag along with me to our local indoor shooting range. We started her off with my "el-cheapo" backpack gun - S&W 22A, as it's the only .22lr pistol I own that doesn't currently have optics on it.
She quickly got bored of hitting the bullseye on a paper target at 25 feet and wanted something more interactive. I set her up with the falling plate machine (50' away) and this was her first run at the plates with the 22A. She admitted that she started 'point shooting' for the last two plates, as she started getting excited after hitting the first three plates and 'forgot' to use the sights. She corrected that with her last two shots.
My camera's battery died before I could get her shooting the plates with my 1911. I guess I'll use that as an excuse to have her come along with me again. :)
