Download Location listed below: As part of Scruffyversary's Creation Week, HypercombinationFinish has released an update to Starfire. I cannot really compare the initial edition to this new version considering I've not been in Mugen for too long, but I must say she seems fully loaded to me...even though the beta release did have quite a number of well done features already. He did both the coding and the sprite editing for her.
This is one of the most well-put-together characters in all of Marvel/DC Mugen. She has so many moves and nice effects added that it is hard to even see them all. And what you do see is beautiful, and I'm not just talking about the character appearance, though that certainly does stand out too, heh. There are great portraits and great fight effects all interwoven into the characters fighting. Also, the sound is top notch as I love the rips from the Teen Titans episodes. Another thing that should be pointed out is the Readme file. You will not find a more indepth readme file for any character in all of Mugen.
Starfire is so loaded down with moves that you can probably get a headache trying to learn how to do them all. A ton of specials, a ton of hypers and on top of that she has throw moves and numerous helper moves in addition to the great looking basics. And every single one of them is very well animated.
*Specials*
----------------
- Starbolt: Fires a beam of energy at her opponent in 3 different ways
- Power Fist: Powered up punch
- Star Cyclone: Somersaulting body slam
- Rocket Slide: Fierce sliding kick
- Rocket Knee: Fierce flying knee move
- Rocket Catch: Catches opponent with legs to slam to the ground
- Star Sphere: Flying Ball attack
- Falling Star: Groundshaking attack
- Flight: Can enter a flying mode
*Helpers*
----------------
- Raven Black Fire: Raven causes three columns of energy erupt from the ground
- Cyborg Shoulder Charge: Cyborg comes across the screen to hit the opponent
- Robin Dive Kick: Robin flies across the screen for a kick to the head
- Beast Boy Gorilla: Beast Boy appears as a Gorilla to attack
- Beast Boy Pterodactyl: Beast Boy flies across the screen attacking as a Pterodactyl
- Beast Boy Bear: Beast Boy runs across the screen as a bear to knock down opponent
*Hypers*
---------------
- Starbolt Storm: Stronger Starbolt attack
- Koriand'r Special: Rush attack with a barrage of punches and kicks
- Clash of the Titans: All of the Teen Titans attack
- Howl of Tamaran: A charging attack
- Shatterstarfire Amalgam: Combines with Shatterstar to become Shatterstarfire for an impressive attack using a multitude of sword slashes
There are a couple small issues to me. First, I had a lot of difficulty pulling off the following moves with the laptop keyboard: Power Fist, Star Sphere, Star Cyclone. I had so much difficulty that I plan to learn how to adjust commands in a character .cmd file just for this. And her AI is pretty weak. She has all these moves that are amazing and well done, but she just cannot put them together to beat a number of opponents. If she had an AI Patch, an already amazing looking character that is fun to play with already (minus those above difficult moves to pull off) will then be even more fun to watch and play against.
