I Staged and sold my personal home. I took 3 months to get it ready got fresh interior paint drywall repair, new carpet, and transforming clean, declutter, and staged with professional photos and the third showing was sold!

Great tips but cost of hiring a home stager was omitted. They are expensive so it's best to adhere to the outlined tips before considering hiring a professional stager.

Another tip.....take a cellphone pic of each room BEFORE you set out to stage your home. Review the pics several times---doing this gives you a reality check and a point of reference as you declutter, clean and decorate to sell your home.
