My 7th completed model since starting the hobby last summer.
This is Mark Martin's #6 Folgers Ford Thunderbird from the 1990 season in which he came very close to winning the Winston Cup Championship if it had not been for a post race penalty at Richmond.
I started this car in early April and finished in early May, it took a while to find a paint that would match the car. Eventually I used Testors Red Flake for the body and I think it matches up very well. Kit and decals are by Monogram. The decals were pretty hard to work with as there are small rips all over the place, most were covered up well however as you can easily see the hood is in kinda bad shape. The hood decal goes over the sides so they needed to be cut which I didnt do a very good job at.
Probably some of the hardest decals I've yet to work with, however I've been told by several other modellers that these decals have a reputation for being hard to work with.
I really love this car and dispite the decal troubles I think it turned out well and it looks great on the shelf.
