Edited by Dominic Pennix Twitter.com/DominicPennix Wardell Stephen Curry II (pronounced /ˈstɛfɨn/) (born March 14, 1988 in Charlotte, North Carolina) is an American basketball player who played for the Wildcats of Davidson College from 2006 through 2009, first as a shooting guard and later as a point guard. Curry, who attended Charlotte Christian School, is the son of former NBA sharpshooter Dell Curry and former volleyball standout Sonya Curry (now the Principal at the Christian Montessori School at Lake Norman, a private elementary school founded by the Curry family in Huntersville, North Carolina in 1995). He is listed as 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) and 185 lb (84 kg) and has size 14 feet. Curry is considered a first round prospect in the 2009 NBA Draft. On April 23, 2009, Curry announced that he would leave Davidson after his junior year to enter the NBA. He believes he will be selected anywhere from 7th to 20th in the draft. Curry took a longer time deciding to enter the draft then he thought he would take because he still wants to earn a degree from Davidson. Curry appeared in a Burger King commercial with his father, Dell, at a very young age. His younger brother, Seth Curry, played at Liberty University before transferring to Duke University. He was a graduate and stand out star at Charlotte Christian School. Davidson and Liberty attempted to schedule a game this year to pit the two brothers against one another, but could not agree on a date for the matchup.
