We’ll Meet Again (Parker-Charles) by Vera Lynn, with Chorus of Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen of Her Majesty’s Forces, orchestra conducted by Roland Shaw
Vera’s famous original 1939 recording of the song included only Arthur Young’s simple novachord accompaniment, while the arrangement for this stirring ‘50s update was patterned after her popular 1952 hits “Auf Wiederseh’n, Sweetheart” and “Yours.” It was with an edited version of this posted track that Stanley Kubrick would accompany the dramatic finale of his darkly comic 1964 political satire.
