Blue Crayfish

This is an Australian Red Claw Crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus). They are sometimes referred to as Lobsters in the pet trade but are actually fresh water Crayfish. They get up to 1 foot long. Not all blue Crayfish are Red Claws. There are smaller species available that are native to Florida and don't get as big as the Australian ones. They eat pelleted food, frozen food, and feeder fish. If you put them in with pet fish they will eat the pet fish if they can catch them. There are many good websites out there that offer care instructions. Simply google search Blue Crayfish for more info. This is an old video, I no longer have any fish or crayfish. I'm leaving this video up because people seem to enjoy it but I rarely come on here to look at or reply to posts. I really liked this crayfish, he was alot of fun and had alot of personality. If you want to buy one simply call all pet stores within driving distance and ask if they carry them. I bought mine at a local pet store many years ago. The tank in the video is a 55 gallon tank. The fish is an OB Peacock who was smart enough to stay clear so never got eaten.
