For both my Greek and especially my non-Geek friends and acquaintances. This is the re-inaction of the funeral of Christ, the EPITAPH. The procedure has been followed every year for centuries. In Greece our religion is part and parcel of our culture. As it is in other Christian Orthodox countries like Russia (the largest), Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, Serbia, even Finland probably because part of it used to be part of neighbouring Russia. Not forgetting of course the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople which is now Istanbul. Wherever there are Christian Orthodox followers the same procedure is followed. Among the large cities: London, New York, Melbourne and elsewhere. In Africa the Patriarchate we belong to is that of Alexandria, Egypt, which was founded by St. Mark. The Patriarch's title uniquely is: Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa. Among the cities with Greek Orthodox Archbishops are: Johannesburg, Dar-es-Salaam (my birthplace), Nairobi, Harare, Lagos and Accra.
