With Menlo up 2-1 against Capuchino in the bottom of the last inning, Capuchino has runners on all bases with no outs. Menlo's Mikey Diekroeger (senior, Stanford commit), makes the big play at shortstop, diving to get the ball out of the air, tagging second, and throwing to first for the third and final out. Diekroeger turns a potential game-winning hit from Capuchino into a triple play, winning the game for Menlo. Mikey's brothers have done quite well on the baseball field as well: big brother Danny Diekroeger stars at 1B for Stanford University, and Kenny Diekroeger plays for a minor league affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.
