i wrote some "glue logic" to send the input of the dials to the serial port as midi messages to the kX audio drivers, and *hooray* it works great. there are 4 sound blaster cards in this computer, so it would also be possible to attatch some potentiometers to the gameports and get (with the onboard soundcard) 20 analog and 20 digital inputs =)
