All Technical Theatre students at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama go on a secondment to a professional theatre company or organisation during their third year. The National Theatre, the RSC, the Royal Opera House, Rambert Dance company, commercial West End theatres and companies like White Light all regularly give opportunities to Guildhall students. Jonathon Pascoe, who recently worked on AFTER THE DANCE at the National Theatre, worked as an integral member of the Production Management team and got the chance to interface with the construction and props department and the designer, Hildegard Bechtler. Partly as a result of these professional links, the Guildhall School has an excellent reputation amongst the key players in the profession who will be able to offer students employment opportunities at the end of their training.
