This is a promotional video from early 1989 featuring NEC's new PC-Engine CD-ROM system, games, and technology. It has a few lame ads for the first couple of PCE-CD games, but then gets far more interesting, as it shows the CD game development process at Hudson and RED, including graphic design, scanning, art, audio recording, voice recording: the works! We also get a great, if brief, glimpse of PCE dev hardware and computer software.
The games being worked on at this time are Tengai Makyou and Cobra, and it's a fascinating look into the early years of multimedia game design.
