The STARFORCE PI on Kickstarter NOW! Pledge here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...

After an enthousiastic reply to the first video and many requests to buy one, I have tentatively started plans on building a production line Star Force Pi prototype together with Hartmut Wendt (hwhardsoft.de). This will then presented on a crowdfunding platform and hopefully you can get one too!

--------------------
WHAT IS IT?
--------------------
The STORMTROOPER is a gameconsole that gives you full arcade feedback with true microswitch Joystick and Buttons, a Raspberry Pi at its core, supporting all your favorite games, a sweet little QVGA screen: magnified, blasting speaker, a rechargeable battery lasting 5+ hours, USB for your own Megadrive controllers, Ethernet, HDMI, the whole shebang. I wanted the experience to be as close as possible to a real arcade, without getting a hernia to move it!

----------------------------
WHY BUILD ONE?
----------------------------
I built this so I could play Metal Slug, properly, anywhere, at any time, without having to hijack a PC or TV to do it, or resorting to handhelds, with a proper joystick and buttons. I can imagine other people would wanna play their arcadegames this way... so let me know!

---------------------
This is a finalized prototype, not a production model. The heavily copyrighted boxart imagery will not be used with the final product - please don't sue me! I just wanted to give that classic 80s-90s console vibe.
