Have a seat folks. This class is in session. Mr. 2 Pi can you tell me the objective of this lesson? Students will be able to solve quadratic equations using the Quadratic Formula and some simple calculations. What's the Quadratic Formula? Yeah, we'll get to that but first remove those shades and that baseball cap. The Quadratic Formula is the tool you use when those prime quadratics have you singing the blues. First write your quadratic in standard form. Be thorough. A x squared plus b x plus c equals zero. Now we're gon' solve for x using our abc's so get thos pencils in your hands and roll with me.
You take the square root of b squared minus 4ac, then you add it and subtract it from the opposite of b. Take the values you get, divide them by 2 a. Now your solving the Quadratic Formulatic way. And if b squared minus 4ac is a value less than 0 then two i's you'll see. Like when your abc = 123 then your solutions are not real they're imaginary.
Is this in standard form? No, it's not. Well take the number from the right side and drop it like it's hot. Now its in standard form and it's easy to see a is 1 b's -4 and c is 3. Now plug these values in to your equation and use the order of operations. Please excuse my dear aunt Sallie is what's taught throughout the nation. And with careful calculations x is 3 and 1. Well I got 6 and 10. Come on son. How'd you get a = 1 there's no number in front of x. Please tell me that your kidding 'cause I'm 'bout to be vexed. That question shows how little you pay attention. In fact you just earned yourself a lunch detention.
Lunch detention? Naah go ahead with that man. I gotta see my ladies at lunch ....
Yeah I got some ladi
