Clemson (-10) posted a 12-under par 276 on Saturday to move from fifth place to first after two rounds in the 43rd Annual Furman Intercollegiate at the par-72, 6,994-yard Furman University Golf Club.

Crawford Reeves (-4), Thomas Bradshaw (-4), Corbin Mills (-1) and Billy Kennerly (-1) each shot a 69 on Saturday to help the Tigers open up a 10-stroke lead over second place Virginia Tech (-4). Georgia State (E), Coastal Carolina (+1) and Wofford (+2) rounded out the top five in the 15-team field.

Michigan's Matt Thompson (-9) followed an opening-round 68 with a 67 on Saturday to grab a one-stroke lead over Coastal Carolina's Sebastian Soderberg after 36 holes. Thompson, who shot a four-under 32 on the front nine, totaled six birdies and an eagle to move to nine-under par for the tournament.

Furman, in a 12th place tie with Samford and Marshall at 10-over after two rounds, fired a two-over 290 in the morning wave. Junior Matt Brown (+1) shot a three-under 33 on the back nine to pace the Paladins while J.B. Murphy (+3) shot a 71. Senior Austin Reeves (-3) stayed in contention with a share of seventh place after a second round 72.

Final round play is set for Sunday morning at 8 a.m. The Paladins, playing with Marshall at East Tennessee State, are set to tee-off beginning at 9 a.m.
