Sennheiser's Freeport Wireless system is on display in this Gearwire exclusive. Freeport is aimed directly at the newcomer to wireless, and with a price tag around $300, Freeport is definitely accessible to musicians on a budget. This entry-level wireless system is four-frequency UHF-based rig with XLR and 1/4-inch inputs, plus gain and squelch controls on the receiver. The transmitter uses 9-volt batteries that can run for about ten hours. Check out the detailed look at Sennheiser's Freeport system if you are still wired, and wanting to cut the cables for good! Freeport is built for mics AND guitars, so you axe-slingers should also take a look at the vid.
