Court has issued an arrest order against Mahmudur Rahman, the acting editor of Daily Amardesh. He may be arrested at any time.
BDINN (www.BDINN.com) team meet him in his office on December 15, 2012 at around 10 pm.
Mahmudur also passes the night in his office.
Earlier on Thursday, a sedition case was filed against Mahmudur and Amar Desh publisher Hasmat Ali over publishing Skype conversation between the former chairman of International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT) and an international crimes law expert.
Advocate Sahidur Rahman, a prosecutor of the tribunal, lodged the case with Chief Metropolitan Magistrate`s Court of Dhaka.
As per a provision of the Criminal Procedure Code, police preserve right to arrest the accused charged with sedition without any arrest warrant.
The complainant brought allegations against duo saying that the activity of the two is seditious and they have violated the information and communication technology act and damaged the image of the judiciary and state.
Justice Nizamul Huq resigned on Tuesday as the chairman of ICT-1 after the Amardesh published the conversation between him and Dr Ahmed Ziauddin, an expatriate Bangladeshi.
