Hello.
I'm going to explain to you why this scene is so amazing.
First of all, this scene is simply beatiful and touching in it's own. This 3min vid can't show that entirely, for the full experience you would have to watch the Uprising in it's entirety. The moments where the soldiers and rebels just stop fighting each other and are stunned are the complete contrary to the violent shootings and explosions before. You can see this very clearly from the rebel that's turning around to them on the stairs: First he is in battle mode, like the movie was before this scene. Then he turns around, sees the baby and switches to human mode in an instant. A bullet hits the wall behind him, and he flinches for a second, but he doesn't really care anymore.
But first of all this scene is great because it goes way deeper than just that superficial sense. As the rebel has two modes of operation, battle / human, the scene is a clear message that we as a society have two modes, and we can only overcome the war and the violence that is going on around the world if we remember that we all are human beings, we all crawled out (or were cut out of) the body of a woman we call mother. We are all mother's children. And the mothers and fathers of this world shouldn't be fighting for their children, they should be having peace for their children.
