"New World Order" is a song written by American heavy metal band Megadeth. It was recorded during the Countdown to Extinction sessions, but was given to the band Zoetrope and included on their third album Mind Over Splatter in 1993.

The Megadeth version of the song (at this point a demo) did not appear on a Megadeth album until the Japanese version of Hidden Treasures in 1995. The final version of the song appeared on the Duke Nukem: Music to Score By soundtrack in 1998. Rather confusingly, the final version of the song was released on the 2007 remastered version of Hidden Treasures (which otherwise follows the Japanese version's tracklisting) and the demo version was released on the 2004 remaster of Youthanasia.

The song features 4 solos: two by Dave Mustaine and two by Marty Friedman. It was released as a bonus track on the re-mastered version of Youthanasia in 2004 as a demo. However, this version is lacking several guitar parts from the original. Presumably, they were lost along with several vocal tracks from Rust in Peace. It is incorrectly listed as a demo on the 2007 remastered version of Hidden Treasures but is actually the final version with all the guitar parts. It also appeared on Warchest later that year and was the first Megadeth release to have this listed correctly. It later appeared on compilation Anthology: Set the World Afire in 2008 and is also correctly listed as the final version, although there were a few other errors on that album.
