Nick Davis Productions' documentary follows Inbal Segev’s journey recording Bach's six solo Cello Suites, widely-regarded as the quintessential body of work for the classical cello – from readying her cello at an upstate New York luthier, through an emotional and exhausting period of study and rehearsal, and finally into the recording studio.
Inbal recorded the Cello Suites over a period of six months at the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York City, working with Grammy-winning producer Da-Hong Seetoo. Since its release on Vox Classics in September, The New York Times has called Inbal's performance "deft and thoughtful." The Buffalo News writes, "Her performances are warm, strong and fluid."
