This is the hardest tune I've ever played and it's one of my own compositions! I have the past months practiced it for at least 100 hours (yes, I've counted) and I still can't play it 100% perfectly! But I still play it better than anyone in this world ever be able to play it, probably.
The reason to why I find it so hard to play, even though I've written it, is because I wrote it theoretically in a note/tab software called Guitar Pro as well as in an 8-bit tracker called Famitracker. I only thought "Oh, this sounds nice!" without caring if it was playable or not. And it was unplayable. I couldn't even play the first 4 bars without having to slow down at least 50% of the full speed! But for some reason I still decided that I wanted to learn it, which I almost did!
If you're wondering why it's called "You Win", it's because the tune is hugely inspired by Ewan Dobson who is one of my biggest guitar influences. The name Ewan is pronounced "You-Win". I have also used lots of his techniques and I intended to make it sound like an 8-bit/video game tune. I wanted to make it sound like something he could have written.
Ewan has now seen it (YAY!)! He wrote "That is totally bad ass... well done Sal!!" and "Awesome song!"
