During the rehearsal of SNL, Sinead O'Connor, at the end of her song "War", pulled out the picture of a child in Uganda. This made cameramen wanna zoom in during the live performance. At the end of that very song during the live show, they zoomed in. But instead of hold a picture of the child, she held a picture of the Pope. She proceeded to rip it up, say "Fight the real enemy.", and throw the ripped picture to the camera. This was the only time they didn't go into commercial break with applause.
