Nick Franglen performed a 24-hour improvised piece "Hymn to the Manhattan Bridge" in collaboration with the thousands of people who walked or biked across the Manhattan Bridge during that period of time. Nick played a Theremin, while sensors registered the passing of each bicycle and pedestrian that imprinted a moment of silence on the music.
The Brooklyn-side setting is the Archway directly under the bridge. Nearby was one of the 88 "pop-up" pianos offered for public use throughout New York City.
