In the past, the belief that humanity could be divided in separate races that differed in a scale of value contributed to justify discrimination, exploitation and atrocities. Recent advances of human genomics and population genetics have shown that the criteria previously used to distinguish human races do not have any significant biological meaning.

The realization that from a scientific point of view, human races do not exist, should be absorbed by all societies and incorporated in their conceptual frameworks and moral convictions.

In the 16th and 17th Centuries thousands and thousands of persons were officially condemned in Europe for the crime of witchcraft. After the advent of the scientific revolution in the 17th Century it became obvious that witches did not exist and the movement subsided and disappeared.

Likewise, we hope that the realization that from a scientific point of view there are no human races should lead to the development of "raceless" societies in which human individuality and uniqueness are cherished. This dream is perfectly in tune with the knowledge that each of us has a unique genome that interacts with the environment to produce exclusive trajectories of life.

A comforting thought is that in the future humans will not believe in human races any more than today we believe in witchcraft. This way, racism will be seen in the future as a temporary human folly, just like nowadays we perceive the insanity of the prosecution of witches. We hope that this little movie helps to leverage such social transformation.
