Near Death Experience of a plane full of people. Cross wind attempted landing at Hamburg. The wing DID hit the ground. More pictures of the actual damaged wing and video of the incident can be seen here:

There was a FEMALE co-pilot at the controls. The MALE pilot took the controls and recovered control of the aircraft to go around and make a sucessfull second attempt landing.
Sad how the media makes no attempt at reporting facts. In fact they deliberately LIE, Im guessing that the facts were not politically correct enough so the producer just made them up to suit. Typical of the Australian media.

Source:
German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accidents Investigation.

Statement:
The Lufthansa Airbus A320 that almost crashedwhile trying to land at Hamburg airport in heavy wind was being piloted by the 24-year-old female co-pilot, named only as Maxi J., according to a spokesman for the German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accidents Investigation.

Please no more comments from LESBIANS and HOMOSEXUALS. If you cant handle the facts go comment in the editorial pages of your GAY & LESBIAN fantasy magazines. In the airline industry there is NO room for your politically correct nazi attitudes. Lives are at stake therefore the facts must be correct and NOT manipulated to suit some pro-gay or man hater audience. Your bias is NOT welcome here and you will be blocked and deleted.

IMO The public should be told prior to booking that a 24 yo female will be at the controls and then they can make their own decision on whether they want to fly on that aircraft or not.
