Before MTV and music videos... Before video tape... Before digital cameras and digital editing... Back in the days of silent Super-8 film and editing by cutting and gluing the film...
I created this (very literal) music video to the tune of Paul Simon's "Kodachrome" during the summer of 1973.
To show this on a Super-8 projector required manually starting the film and then precisely dropping the needle on the phonograph record at exactly the right time and exactly the right spot to synchronize my edits to the music.
In this digitized version, the film is running at "normal" speed, and I've sped up the song to stay in sync with the picture.
