88-year-old artist Russell Connor (The New Yorker, The New York Times Book Review) enlists in "a battle for the soul of my country," launching a volley of paintings and commentary targeting the first Trump year. Connor is best known for his witty variations on masterpieces, inspired by years in museum education, from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where he hosted a WGBH series called Museum Open House, to the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. His recent book, Masters in Pieces II: The Art of Russell Connor(2016,Pleasure Boat Studio) is available on Amazon and at russellconnor.com. "Magically, Connor whisks away the artifice of art history to forge some deeper connections, and makes us smile all the while" (The New York Times). More at: http://russellconnor.com
