More than fifteen years after the end of the war in the Balkans and despite the best efforts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia, tens of thousands of refugees and displaced persons still live in undignified conditions.
In 2014, the Regional Housing Programme reached an important milestone. For the first time, housing solutions were delivered to beneficiaries. Specifically, 25 families were provided with building materials in Serbia and eight families received the keys to their new homes in Croatia.
The number of homes delivered should steadily increase in the near future. Having set up their implementation structures, the four Partner countries are now focused on implementing their housing projects.
