OU researchers are designing energy systems for smarter cities as part of the £16 million MK:SMART project.

In this video, Professor Gerd Kortuem introduces a smart washing machine. He and his team have developed an application which runs on a tablet and is connected to the washing machine and the solar panels on the roof of the home.
