It was not long after meeting Eric & Elaine Johnson of OptimtimumLifestyle.org, Cherisse Montgomery, the owner of DivineCompletion.com, and Ronny Harrison, Chaplain with Houston Fire Department and his wife, Toni, who together do marriage counseling @ New Light Christian Church, that I realized there was a common interest in nuturing more empowering relationships.

We united behind the mission to:
-strengthen and mentor relationships,
-sponsor relationship-building activities, and
-stand for divine relationships.

We defined the ultimate human relationship, marriage, as:

A divine institution, established by Yahweh, entered into covenant between, one man, woman, and Yahweh, that glorifies Yahweh, sanctifies one another's imperfections, and unites them in a lifetime of loving fellowship.

We were joined by Vonetta Berry of ABC Body Art and minister Devanah McGinnis as The I Stand Family as We partnered on an event: Extreme Makeover: Family Edition. This event offered couples the opportunity to strengthen their relationships, interact in role playing exercises, have intimacy building activities, and I provided the financial empowerment segment.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was filmed by both Pace Entertainment as well as Eric & Elaine Johnson's girls, the Optimizers, at St. Mary's United Methodist Church with about two dozen participants including my parents from central TEXAS, Rev. Jeffrey Latson of Bringhurst Street Good News Church, and others in ministry and business who would also share their testimonies and engage the panel in open discussion. We fed everyone and had a number of vendors represented.

We continue to support one another on programs.
A few of the participants, Minister Esther Limbrick, Eva Noel and their cohort, together with Devanah McGinnis and myself, put on the play, 5 Wise Brides, taken from the parable of the 5 wise and foolish virgins in Matthew 25 and the influence of Mordecai on Esther. It would impart the importance of stewardship, sowing into preparation, and maintaining access to that oil that we need when the time comes. Cherisse Montgomery joined us and would coach Devanah's daughter in the ministry of praise dance.

Now Cherisse is preparing for a couple's day in the park through her ministry of DivineCompletion.com. Carry the Torch for Love will have Fun, Food, Music, interactive Games, and Awards for those who become champions in this Olympic styled event.

We invite you to:
-correspond with us,
-to partner with us on activities, and
-to share your testimony about your walk in His Provision.

We are grateful for the wonderful fellowship and sweet communion. May He who has started a great work in us carry it on to completion.
