First Nations communities in Canada's Great Bear Rainforest are working with the Conservancy and its partners — Pacific Wild and the American Museum of Natural History — to tap into technology in a way that inspires and empowers young people to take an active role in learning about the lands and waters surrounding their traditional territories. Using interactive white boards and remote wildlife webcams, the Virtual Rainforest Initiative brings natural history, ecology and conservation to life, while developing and cultivating a new generation of conservation champions. http://www.nature.org/wherewework/nor...
