Eric "Sleepy" Floyd shreds Michael Cooper and the Los Angeles Lakers to the tune of 51 points (incl an NBA record 29 in the fourth quarter) to lead the Golden State Warriors to a come from behind game 4 victory in the 1987 playoffs. This is a replay of the historic fourth quarter.
Hall of Famers featured in the game include Chris Mullin, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar and James Worthy. Other NBA luminaries include Kurt Rambis, A.C. Green, Byron Scott, Jerome Whitehead, Terry Teagle, J.B. (Just Breathin') Carroll, Purvis Short, Mr. Mean Larry Smith, Rod Higgins and even Chris Washburn makes an appearance (don't blink).
Play by play by Greg Papa, color by Jim Barnett, who is still doing Warriors games after all these years. I find this broadcast to be significantly more entertaining than the national telecast on TNT (or was it TBS), as the hometown announcers didn't need to be impartial. And be sure to catch Sleepy calling out Cooper as Floyd exits the game in part 3 (Coop, that's you!), which wasn't shown on the national broadcast.
From a 26 year old VHS recording, so the video isn't the best, but the commentary alone is worth a listen.
