Ben Nye, Sr.'s makeup career spans four incredible motion picture decades. As 20th Century Fox Makeup Director, he designed the makeup for over 500 feature films. His creativity forever influenced makeup artistry. He made-up starlets, Alice Faye, Heddy Lamar, Madelene Carrol, Ingrid Bergman, Vivien Leigh, Joan Fontaine, Annabella, Irene Dunn, Mitzie Gaynor, Marilyn Monroe, Mia Farrow, Candice Bergman, and Julie Andrews.

He worked with Hollywood legends Ty Power, Henry Fonda, Don Ameche, Leslie Howard, Lawrence Olivier, Vincent Price, Yul Brynner, Gregory Peck, Rex Harrison, Lee Marvin, Steve McQueen, Marlon Brando, and George C. Scott.

Some of his favorite films include, "Jesse James", "In Old Chicago", "Intermezzo", "Gone With The Wind", "Intermezzo", "The Rose of Washington Square", "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes", "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir", "South Pacific", "Sand Pebbles" "The Flight of the Phoenix", "The Man in the Grey Flannel Suit", "Cleopatra", "The Fly", "Flim Flam Man" and "The Sound of Music". His two sons, Ben Nye, Jr. and Dana Nye followed in his footsteps. Each had their own remarkable careers. Dana Nye serves as host. Recorded on the lot at 20th Century Fox in Hollywood. .
