OpenNebula is the result of the terrific feedback of the day-to-day operation of virtualized infrastructures by many of its users; result of all their contributions, bug reports, patches, and translations; but one and foremost, OpenNebula is the realization of a vision of simplicity, flexibility, openness, code-correctness and a sysadmin-centric approach. This defines OpenNebula's personality as a community, it defines the OpenNebula Way. As user-driven open-source project, this Conference represents an important opportunity to gather feedback from the people that design, deploy and run the cloud infrastructure and so to continue defining a roadmap driven largely by real world problem scenarios.

Ruben S. Montero, Ph.D, is Chief Architect of the OpenNebula Project and CTO & co-founder at C12G Labs. He has strong expertise in resource provisioning models for distributed systems and cloud computing, in particular resource management and scheduling, distributed management of virtual machines, and inter-operation of cloud infrastructures. Montero holds a Ph.D in Computer Science (UCM) and is also an Associated Professor at UCM.
