Professor Kofman’s research labs, Intelligent Human Machine Systems/3D Imaging Laboratories, have recently developed a real-time 3D imaging system that computes and displays 3D surface measurements with high accuracy and resolution in real-time – essentially, real-time 3D scanning video.
Jonathan Kofman is a professor in the Department of Systems Design Engineering and cross-appointed to the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, ON, Canada. Professor Kofman's research focuses on 3D imaging, 3D computer vision, and 3D-vision sensor design; intelligent biomedical systems; and human-robot interfaces and interaction.
