This is another example of the use of an Opening Ritual to start a mock trial class. Here, each of the students stands up and says, "May it please the Court" before answering a question about the previous week's lesson. This ritual familiarizes students with proper courtroom etiquette and re-focuses students on earlier weeks' material.
