Among the best buys are home appliances, apparel and furniture. Air-conditioners, washing machines and fridges are available for 20% to 40% less, as shops scramble to clear their inventories. Home appliances fall under the 28% bracket under the GST regime. They are now taxed lower at 21-23 per cent, and the discounts make the deals sweeter.
