This method of cleaning analog sticks applies to both the 360 and PS3 controller. I used the 360 controller in this video because it was due-time for a cleaning! I advise you have prior knowledge about disassembling the PS3/360 controller before you attempt this as it makes this how-to video much easier to understand. Ok let's get started.
I recommend buying Radioshack's brand of Contact Cleaner, I've had the best luck with that. You can buy it in store for about $13 w/ tax in the local store.

-I edited some stuff out to cut down on clutter, also because I dropped the face buttons and had to put them back together. I took this time to clean out the button wells of food-grime and other forms of dirt to prevent sticky buttons. I used rubbing alcohol and dishwasher soap for that "shine"! (not in video)
