Bradford and Barbara Washburn are two of the most accomplished adventurers of their era. Working together with Thom Pollard of Eyes Open Productions, Brad and Barbara traveled to Alaska in the summer of 2000 to revisit adventure locations that they literally put on the map.
This video is a compilation of segments from the documentary ALASKAN REMINISCENCES: 60 YEARS OF ADVENTURE WITH BRADFORD AND BARBARA WASHBURN. Funded in part by the Alaska Museum of History and Art, the video shows the Washburns as they recall Barbara becoming the first woman to stand atop Mount McKinley in 1947, as well as Brad's 'love affair' with Alaska, dating back to a National Geographic grant he received in 1936 to map the Alaska Range.
