--- A Savings Affirmation ---
I live on 90% of my income and I save 10% toward my future
The other day, in Omaha, Nebraska, I conducted a seminar a group of CEO's in a very unique location - a castle.
It was at the Joslyn Castle, just a few miles west of downtown Omaha.
This is an amazing place that was built by George and Sarah Joslyn in 1903 on a piece of property that, at that time, was out in the countryside.
Only three people lived in this castle - George, Sarah and their daughter Violet.
There's a lesson in the way that George was able to build this very large house that was built to look like a castle.
George Joslyn came to Omaha as a result of an expansion for a printing company that was moving to the city. George worked at the printing company, saved his money, and started buying stock in the company.
Eventually he was the main stockholder in the company and became wealthy.
Isn't that interesting. George Joslyn set goals in small pieces and then he achieved big goals in time.
Now Joslyn Castle is used for many different types of meetings and events.
Not far from Joslyn Castle lives the Oracle of Omaha, one of the richest people in the world, Warren Buffett.
I was told that he lives in a very simple house and drives a simple vehicle. And he has become one of the wealthiest people on earth.
My challenge to all of us: What if we had to live, in order to survive for the next 12 months, on 90% of our income? If that was the only way to survive, of course we would.
What if you actually did that for the next 12 months and put 10% away in savings. Could you become more wealthy? I believe you could.
Maybe there's a castle in your future.
You are special. You are unique. You are destined for greatness. Have a powerful day!
