The Welsh National Anthem. The words were written by Evan James and the tune composed by his son, James James, both residents of Pontypridd, Glamorgan, in January 1856. Performed by the Washington International Chorus (www.washingtoninternationalchorus.com) on December 19, 2014.
Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi, Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri; Ei gwrol ryfelwyr, gwladgarwyr tra mad, Tros ryddid collasant eu gwaed.
Gwlad, gwlad, pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad, Tra môr yn fur I'r bur hoff bau, O bydded i'r hen iaith barhau.
