January 7, 2012, about 3 AM. After the Christmas service at the Transfiguration Cathedral in St Petersburg, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin speaks to the reporters outside. He is asked about his Baptism.
A side note: As busy as he is, he must have an extraordinary faith to attend the midnight service and stand for 3 hours. I was there in the city but I was too tired to attend. Vladimir Putin and most of Russia are Orthodox Christians. Russia is a Christian nation that overcame a turbulent and horrific past. Christians in Russia have survived Hell's fury from communism and I have seen many churches rebuilt with Putin's help. More about the "Russian Faith": http://russianfaith.wordpress.com/
Pat Buchanan -US Bias Against Russia & Christianity http://youtu.be/ArYnjflfHjI He explains why most people in the West do not know about Putin and Russia's Christianity.. Russia is still portrayed as Stalin in the USSR even though the Soviet government fell in 1991.
